2017 Planting Day (May 24)

Probably the single biggest day of work for the year but it's nothing compared to the many hours spent every week throughout the summer. Here are a few photos from the areas I could get to on foot (you can click on the photos to enlarge them).

Distribution - looks like our colours are red and white for Canada 150.

All hands on deck.

Tools of the trade.

I spent a lot of time with this guy last year.

Plant plans.

It has been snowing dandelion seeds for the past few days.

A casualty.

Our signs welcome everyone to Grand Bend from all 3 directions.

... as do our flower boxes on HWY 81.

They will look great in a couple of weeks as they fill in.

Have to work around the beautiful tulips.

My buddy Dave (flipside) on the barrow.

Waiting their turn.

Mrs Mayor (Ginger) has a green thumb, two of them.

Centennial garden.

The Municipal garden is a big one.

Our Legion always looks good.

Some of the baskets look like they have been done for a while.

This happened to be the first day of our Farmers' Market also.

Hort member Richard Cooke (AkSence) is proud of his Hort display.
